The symposia was held during the XXI General Assembly of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics was held in Boulder, Colorado in July 1995. The symposium was convened and edited by RH Rapp, Anny A Cazenave (GRGS CNES Toulouse) and R Steven Nerem (Center of Space Research, U of Texas). The series editor was Wolfgang Torge.
