A total of nine presentation sessions were held under five symposiums themes.
Following are the themes and convener of the meeting;
Symp 1 : Strategies for solving geodetic problems in developing countries (AM Wassef Egypt)
Symp 2 : Geodesy for global geodynamics (I Nakagawa, Japan)
Symp 3: Recent crustal movements and phenomena associated with earthquakes and volcanism (P Vyskocil, Czechoslovakia)
Symp 4a: Results of high-precision gravity measurements, absolute and relative (E Groten, FGR)
Symp 4b: Geoid definition and determination (G Lachapelle Canada)
Symp 4c: Advances in geodetic refraction (FK Brunner, Australia)
