Development Administrative Unit 1965

 

Sekitar 1965 AAZ berkhidmat dengan JPM. Petikan berikut diambil dari m/surat 91 buku beliau. Beliau menulis tentang penubuhan DAU JPM pada tahun 1965.

In 1965 it was considered by the Government that time was right for administrative reform in the country. Two American expert i.e., Mr Montgomery and Mr Esman, were invited to look at the administrative system of the country and to make recommendations. They came and had discussions with government officersvand out of their report it was decided to starts unit in JPM to be called DAU.

The idea then was to change the administrative system which was generally geared for public order and security to one geared for development. AAZ was appointed as the first Director of DAU and Mr Esman as the Advisor.
