IAG 144 - IGFS 2014 is the proceedings of The 3rd International Gravity Field Service (IGFS) General Assembly which was successfully held in Shanghai, China from June 30 to July 6, 2014. The proceedings was Shuanggen Jin (of Shanghai Astronomical Observatory) & Riccardo Barzaghi (Politecnico di Milano). The series editor was Chris Rizos (also as IAG President). The symposium was organized by the International Gravity Field Service (IGFS), Commission 2 of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG), and Shanghai Astronomical Observatory (SHAO), Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The symposium attracted 130 participants from 25 countries and the proceedings contain 24 peer-reviewed papers presented under six sessions;
- Gravimetry and Gravity Networks (Convener - Sylvain Bonvalot & Dan Roman)
- Global geopotential models and vertical datum unification (M Sideris & Jiancheng Li)
- Local geoid/gravity modelling (Urs Marti & R Barzaghi)
- Satellite gravimetry (Roland Pail & Shuanggen Jin)
- Mass movements in the Earth system (Rene Forsberg & Shuanggen Jin)
- Solid Earth investigations (Carla Braitenberg & Rene Forsberg)
IAG 144 (published in 2017)
Among the papers on geoid modelling were;
- A New Gravimetric Geoid Model for the Area of Sudan Using the Least Squares Collocation and a GOCE-Based GGM by Walyeldeen Godah and Jan Krynski.
- New Geoid of Greenland: A Case Study of Terrain and Ice Effects, GOCE and Use of Local Sea Level Data by Rene Forsberg and Tim Jensen
- New Geoid Model in the State of São Paulo by G.N. Guimarães, A.C.O.C. de Matos, and D. Blitzkow
