Bulletin Geodesique 1937 - Gravity and Geoid

It is not easy to find geodesy paper written in English in the early publication of Bulletin Geodesique (BG 1924 onwards). The papers were all in French (BG January 1924 - Dec 1942). In Bulletin Geodesique (Issue of July-Sep 1937) two papers in English were published - one on international development of geodesy and the other on the figure of the Earth.

The former among others touched on the issue of the requirement of having dense gravity data if Stokes formula is to utilized. The latter was eighteen pages long paper written by N E Norlund - Director of Geodetic Institute, Denmark .
