IAG 121 - Geodesy Beyond 2000


IAG 121 - The international symposium Geodesy Beyond 2000 - Challenges of the First Decade was actually the proceedings of the 35th General Assembly of IAG. It took place in Birmingham UK from July 19-30, 1999. The proceedings was edited by KP Schwarz (Calgary University) and also as series editor (as being IAG President).

The symposium 121 was divided into six headings and their convenors;
  1. Modelling the Earth at the part-per-billion level (G Beutler)
  2. Seamless gravity (Rene Forsberg, K. -H Ilk & MG Sideris)
  3. Advances in theory and numerical techniques (B Heck & Peter Holota)
  4. Geodynamics (Martin Feissel)
  5. Kinematic systems and precision engineering (FK Brunner, P de Jonge, H Kahmen & C Rizos)
  6. An IAG structure to meet future challenges.
