Tesis Tentang NASA
Sewaktu membaca buku First Man timbul pula minat untuk mencari judul tesis yang pernah ditulis berkaitan Nasa. Mulanya cuma nak mencari tesis berkait genre sejarah Nasa. Berikut ialah beberapa judul yang ditemui serta sudah dimuat turun.

The history of computer in celestial mechanics (2011)
Satu tesis phd dalam sejarah bertajuk "Just a beginning: computers and celestial mechanics in the work of Wallace J Eckert" selesai pada 2011 lalu. Tesis oleh Allan Olley dikemuka ke Institute for History and Philosophy of Science, University of Toronto.
This thesis details and analyzes the interaction between computers and science in a particular case. The case is the career of Wallace J. Eckert (1902-1971). Eckert was a professor of astronomy at Columbia University and scientific researcher for IBM. He has received some attention in the history of computing for his significant work in machine computation in the 1930s and 1940s and was the foremost expert on lunar theory for much of his life.

Cassini and NASA
Nama Cassini turut mendapat pengiktirafan oleh NASA. Projek kapal angkasa mengembara ke Saturn yang diusahakan oleh NASA dinamakan Cassini. Ini bertepatan dengan sumbangan Cassini yang merupakan ahli astronomi yang mengesan kewujudan jalur gelang planet Saturn.
Turut mendapat pengiktirafan dalam projek Saturn ialah Huygens, seorang ahli astronomi / sains Belanda.

Cassinis and Geodesy
Cassini family has contributed a lot in geodesy. There were four family members of Cassini involved in the advancement of geodesy from 17th to 18th Century. The four members were;
Giovanni Domenico Cassini (1625-1712) – Cassini I. He discovered four satellites of planet Saturn and noted the division of the rings of Saturn. In 1669 he moved to Paris Observatory.
Jacques Cassini (1677-1756) – Cassini II
Cesar-Francois Cassini de Thurry (1714-1784) – Cassini III
Jean-Dominique Cassini (1748-1845) – Cassini IV.

140 Years of FIG
FIG is celebrating its 140 years anniversary. The event was held in Athens Greece on Nov 9, 2018.

Among the speakers during the event was Prof Marinos Kavouras. He is now Vice Rector of NTUA. He presented a talk "180 Years of NTUA". This was followed by another presentation also from NTUA "100 Years of the School of Rural and Surveying Engineers-FIG Academic Member" by Dean of SRSE Prof Charalabos Iionnidis.

FIG was founded on 18 July 1878 in Paris by delegates from seven national associations – Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Spain and Switzerland – and was known as the Fédération Internationale des Géomètres. This has become anglicized to the International Federation of Surveyors.
The year 2018 marks the 140 anniversary of FIG. It is an honour to celebrate this special occasion together with a handover event marking the end of term for current FIG President Chryssy Potsiou, Greece (2015–2018) to President Elect Rudolf Staiger, Germany, who will take over the FIG presidency on 1 January 2019.

Hadir ke mesyuarat di Jupem. Lokasi Jupem betul-betul bersebelahan kampus utm kl. Menginap di Widad amat sesuai kerana mudah bergerak menuju Jupem. Mesyuarat merupakan yang terakhir di sertai sebelum bersara.

Lawatan ke Jupem Johor
Satu lawatan telah dibuat ke Jupem Johor bersama pelajar 1 Sghu sesi 2018/19. Lawatan ini merupakan program tahunan untuk memberi pendedahan kepada pelajar baru Kej Geomatik. Pihak Jupem telah menyediakan aturcara lawatan meliputi sesi penerangan peranan Jupem dalam ukur dan pemetaan negara. Selepas sesi penerangan pelajar di bawa meninjau operasi yang berjalan di semua seksyen yang terdapat di Jupem JB.
