Seminar Latihan Industri 3Sghu

Pelajar 3Sghu telah menjalani latihan industri selama satu semester bermula Februari lalu. Kini mereka telah tamat latihan dan bersedia pula dengan sesi presentation masing-masing.

Test 2 for Deformation Svy was held today starts at 2 pm. All students attended the test. It was a one hour test covering a couple of late lecture topics.

Sjoberg and Bagherbandi (2017)

A most recent book on gravity and geoid was published by Springer very recently. The book "Gravity Inversion and Integration: Theory and Applications in Geodesy and Geophysics" was written by Lars Sjoberg and Mohammad Bagherbandi, both of KTH Sweden.

The book is emphasized on the development of KTH LSMM Approach of geoid computation.

Mesyuarat GWG Team 2

Satu mesyuarat geodetic working group (gwg) Team-2 diadakan pagi ini. Mesyuarat bermula jam 10.30 pagi di bilik mesyuarat kertau dihadiri oleh staf BUG khususnya dari seksyen kawalan tegak. Turut hadir adalah penyelidik/akademik yang terlibat dari utm dan uitm. Tumpuan mesyuarat adalah isu kawalan tegak di Sarawak dan Sabah.

Papers on Sweden Geoid

The most recent geoid for Sweden KTH08 was computed using KTH LSSMA by Agren, Sjoberg & Ramin and reported in J of AG (2009) and FIG Week Stockholm (2008). In 2014 two more papers on geoid computation effort in Sweden were written by Agren and his team. The papers were presented at GGHS, Venice, Italy 2012 (IAG 141).

Last Lecture Sghu4803

The lecture for Sghu4803 (deformation surveys) finally came to the end this morning. A series of lecture covering the last few topics were held today for about 3 hours. Topics on datum problems, GDA methodologies and VCE were delivered and that conclude everything supposedly in the syllabus. After the lecture I brought the class to a cafe nearby and treated them for late breakfast.

Wacana TNC(A)

Satu majlis yang dinamai "Wacana TNC(A)" diadakan pagi ini bertempat di Dewan Senat. Majlis bermula jam 10 pagi dan berakhir jam 12 tgh hari. Antara yang disebut beliau adalah usaha untuk menggabung semua fakulti kejurutearaan di bawah satu bumbung. Model yang akan diguna adalah NTU Spore dan ia bakal dilaksana menjelang 2020. Satu dari sebab langkah ini diambil adalah untuk penjimatan kewangan.
