Syarikat Wild yang berpengkalan di Heerbrugg amat terkenal dengan produk peralatan ukur. Sejarah penubuhan dan perkembangan Syarikat Wild sudah pun mejangkau ratusan tahun usianya. Ia mula ditibhukan pada 1921 dengan nama Wild Heerbrugg. Tokoh yang berjasa disebalik penubuhan Wild Heerbrugg adalah Jacob Kern (d.1867). Berikut sedikit ringkasan tentang perkembangan Wild. Foundation of the "Mechanical Workshop Jacob Kern" in Aarau, Switzerland. Jakob Kern initially produced instruments for technical drawings and until 1900 these remained the main production branch of Kern. These instruments become the worldwide standard for technology and quality.
